Energy Management

Thermographic Imaging

Our thermal imaging looks at electrical equipment, control panels, cables, components that are hotter or cooler than similar ones under similar loads. Our electrical professionals performing thermal imaging can identify the following:

  • Broken and undersized wires
  • Faulty (too loose, over tightened or corroded) connection
  • Electrical unbalance during phases and defective insulation
  • Overheated equipment, panels and components

Power Quality Analysis

Power Quality has to do with the extent to which the delivery and utilization of electric power affects the performance of electrical equipment and loads. Our power quality monitors will detect and record the 7 types of power quality problems.

  • Transients
  • Interruptions
  • Sag/Under Voltage
  • Swell/Over Voltage
  • Waveform Distortion
  • Voltage Fluctuations
  • Frequency Variations

These disturbances create technical challenges such as, loss of production and revenue, process interruptions and damage to equipment, higher energy costs, and loss of data.  Our job is to perform test works that will reveal the real causes of your power system disturbances and propose solutions that will make your parameters fall within acceptable limits as per below requirements.

Parameters

Compliance Limits According to EN50160: 2001

Frequency

Must remain between 49.5 (-1%) and 50.5 (+1%) Hz.

Supply Voltage

The voltage must be between 90% and 110% of nominal voltage.

Voltage unbalance

The negative sequence cannot assume a magnitude higher than 2% of the direct sequence

Harmonic voltage

Harmonic voltage: THD < 8 %, 3rd < 5.0%, 5th < 6.0%, 7th < 5.0%

Energy Audit

Electric motor systems are by far the most important type of load in industry, using about 70% of the consumed electricity. We analyse motor starting methods for electric motor-driven loads and propose solutions to save energy cost. Our audit service cover the entire motor applications and market segments.
